Rotary Clubs world
over invite people from the community who have distinguished themselves by
meritorious service and embody Rotary ideals, or those considered friends of
Rotary for their support of Rotary's causes to join Rotary as HONORARY MEMBERS
for one Rotary Year at a time. This
year, we take pride in announcing that two such accomplished individuals who
meet the criteria for Honorary Membership have been inducted as HONORARY
MEMBERS of Rotary Club of Bombay West for Rotary Year 2018-19.
They are CA RAMESH PRABHU, Founder Chairman of Maharashtra Societies
Welfare Association and Dr. HANSAJI YOGENDRA, Director of The Yoga Institute,
Santacruz East – the world’s oldest organized YOGA CENTRE.
Both the honorary members have promised their support to the Club in its community service initiatives.
The Club has already launched Yoga Classes at Rotary Service Centre in association with The Yoga Institute and the initial response is overwhelming.
CA Ramesh Prabhu and Maharashtra Societies Welfare Association have joined hands with the Club to launch a Knowledge Series for Mumbaikars titled LAYMAN & HOUSING LAWS on first Sundays of the months. The inaugural session is being held on Sunday 8th July 2018 at Rotary Service Centre and is open to public. CA Ramesh Prabhu will be making a presentation on "Success of MahaRERA" while Rtn.Adv.Hiralal Suthar will talk about "Disputes & Resolutions in Co-op.Housing Societies".
