Blood donors are life savers!

Blessed are the young and not so young who can give back life with their blood.

On 1st July, 2016, Rotary International's District 3141 organized a massive Blood Donation drive in the city of Mumbai and extended suburbs upto Dahanu on the western side.  More than 25 Camps were set up at various Rotary Clubs at railway stations, colleges, corporate offices, etc. and over 1000 units of Blood were collected at these camps. The volunteers included members from Rotary Clubs, Inner Wheel Clubs, Rotaract Clubs and ofcourse the doctors and paramedics from the Blood Banks.

Rotary Club of Bombay West too had participated in this drive at Sathaye College and at Andheri Railway Station where 281 units were collected by the associated blood banks.  All the Rotaract Clubs sponsored by our Club participated at these two camps and did a wonderful job in managing and making the camps a success.

All in all, a good start to the new Rotary Year which begins on 1st July, 2016.
