RCBW – Celebrating 65 Glorious Years
Rotary Club of Bombay West turned 65 on 22nd
April, 2019!
To celebrate its Anniversary, a grand function was held on
Wednesday 24th April, 2019 at The
Club, Andheri West, Mumbai with the District Governor, Rtn.Shashi Sharma
gracing the occasion and blessing the Club with many more years of service to
humanity. Over 150 members, spouses and
invited guests attended the event which also saw felicitation of members who
had devoted over 50 years in Rotary.
The evening began
with a crisp welcome address by President Anand Gupta who then handed over the
proceedings to the MC duo – PP Rtn.Chandramohan Saigal and Past Secretary
Rtn.Dr.Usha Jayachandran. Among the
veterans who were felicitated were Past President & Ex-Sheriff of Mumbai
Dr.Mohanbhai I Patel, Past District Governor Rtn.Sajjan Goenka, Rtn.Shrikant
Sathe and Past President Rtn.Shashi Walawalkar.
An audio visual
presentation of 15 minutes by Past President Rtn.Aslam Merchant took the audience down the memory lane. The presentation highlighted the major
milestones, community service projects and key initiatives of the Club to serve
the neighborhood community through its 65 years of existence from 1954 to 2019.
Hasya Kavi
Dr.Mukesh Gautam was invited to entertain the audience with his witty gags and
funny stories. His 45-minute performance
left the audience in splits.
President Elect
Rtn.Samapti Patel gave a hearty vote of thanks.
Guests then enjoyed
the fellowship time with happy hours and sumptuous dinner sponsored by
Rtn.Prashant Patel till in the night.
