RCBW Honours Prof.Dipak C. Jain, Ph.D

On April 15, 2015, Rotary Club of Bombay West bestowed The Kalyan Banerjee Change-maker Award on Prof.Dipak C. Jain, Ph.D, Former Dean of Kelloggs School of Business, USA in presence of District Governor Rtn.Ajay Gupta, Past District Governors Rtn.Gulam Vahanvaty and Rtn.Rahul Timbadia, Past President & Ex-Sheriff of Mumbai, Dr.Mohanbhai Patel, Officials from RI Dist.3140, Hon. Rtn.Vivek Padgaonkar, businessmen and professionals from the trade and industry, Members of RC of Airport and RC of Khar and members from our own club.

The programme was part of the Kalyan Banerjee Leadership Lecture Series instituted by our Club in 2011-12 in recognition of exemplary leadership of the then Rotary International President Rtn.Kalyan Banerjee who was only the third RI President from India.  

Prof.Dipak C. Jain delivered the keynote address on "BUSINESS LANDSCAPE IN INDIA : The Decade Ahead" which was extremely thought-provoking and setting directions for the entrepreneurial talent to succeed and at the same time achieve significance. 

RCBW Mourns Demise of PDG Rtn.Sippy Rao

Past President of Rotary Club of Bombay West and Past District Governor of Rotary International District 3140, Rtn.'Sippy' Rao passed away on Wednesday, 8th April, 2015 at a ripe age of 95.  

Spacious Hall Built for Adivasi School at Kosbad Village

On 10th April, 2015, Rotary Club of Bombay West inaugurated a spacious multi-purpose hall built by them for Gokhale Education Society's Ashram Shaala Kosbad at Village Chimbave, Tal.Dahanu, Dist.Palghar in State of Maharashtra.  Built at a cost of approx.Rs.15 lacs from the generous donations received from its members, the multi-purpose hall will serve the needs of over 550 students mainly from the tribal communities.
